Kassia Davis, Founder & CEO

Growing up in the sportswear industry, I spent years of my personal and professional life thinking about how fashion can better serve the needs of real women. The fit and shape of clothing on diverse body types, as well as sustainable design practices, became crucial to how I thought about and sourced apparel. It became my dream to build a sustainable, female-led fashion line from the ground up. And once the idea for KADA was born, I’ve never looked back. My hope is to encourage every woman to follow their passion, because it’s only by embracing change that we learn and grow.

Maddie Conway, Business Ops

Maddie thinks of herself as someone who has always made the safe and traditional choice for her future—beginning with studying business at Northeastern University and continuing with the corporate job she secured before she’d even graduated. After years of working in the sportswear industry, she’d learned the ins and outs of direct-to-consumer merchandising and formed some incredible relationships, but knew it was time to push herself to grow. When her former boss and mentor Kassia Davis invited her to help build a sustainable, female-founded clothing brand from the ground up, she jumped at the chance to chart a new path. She’s excited by the opportunity to effect real change in how fashion is designed and produced, and to show the world what it looks like when women take the reins. For her, the risk of leaving the stability of a corporate job is worth the reward of inspiring other women and having a lasting impact on the industry.

I took a major risk and did the unexpected when I left the day-to-day security at the family business to follow my passion and start my own brand. It’s important to me that this sense of defiance shows through in KADA’s product line. Not only are we challenging the way clothing is sourced and produced, but we’re adding edgy design details to our pieces to create boldness and sensuality that makes every woman feel comfortable in her own skin.

Evolution

Complacency in my career has never been an option for me; it’s so important for me to push myself out of my comfort zone every day. I’m a firm believer in evolution and embracing the chance to learn and grow. The KADA team uses durable and premium-quality fabrics to create pieces that are meant to be long-term investments and will change and evolve with you over time.

With years of experience in a male-dominated industry, I was determined to create an opportunity to inspire and empower women. Behind the KADA brand is a team of incredibly talented women who share a common goal: building pieces that every one of us can feel comfortable and confident wearing.
